Caroling Fantasy [level: Easy]
arr. B. Wayne Bisbee
voicing: SATB or SSA | catalog number: SBMP 1041 | duration: 2:50
| price: $2.50
accompaniment: piano, flute, handbells, perc.
Composer Bisbee has created a festive and clever medley of The First Noel, Sing Nowell, God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen, and Have a Merry Christmas. An aleatoric rendering of the latter greeting leads to the final dramatic phrase: “And a happy new year.” Throughout, a sprightly flute part decorates the melodies; the piano adds great rhythmic and harmonic support; the handbells add elegance with their special ring; and the drum and triangle add rhythmic emphasis and sparkle. The versatile arrangement can be sung by treble choirs and/or by mixed voices. This piece is a great choice for concluding a holiday concert, perhaps with more than one choir combining forces.

Frankie and Johnny [level: Medium]
arr. Peter Frost
voicing: SA | catalog number: SBMP 1036 | duration: 2:50
| price: $1.95
accompaniment: piano
This arrangement really swings with a superb, stylistic piano part setting the groove. Great tossing back and forth of the melody, plus a bit of scat-like singing midway through, make this extra fun to sing. In two parts all the way, Frankie and Johnny begs for a little dramatic action by the singers as they tell this tragic lovelorn story.

Sigh No More Ladies [level: Medium]
piano accomp.: Mary Ellen Loose - J. Edmund Hughes
| Edith Copley Choral Series
voicing: SA | catalog number: SBMP 1028 | duration: 2:20
| price: $1.95
accompaniment: piano
This piece can do well on its own merit, or it can be joined by two others in a unique Shakespeare Suite, each piece being for a different voicing. To perform all three, divide the SATB choir, the women getting their turn first with Sigh No More Ladies; next the men perform Take, O Take Those Lips Away (SBMP 1029); and finally all join in with It Was a Lover and His Lass (SBMP 1030). Clever writing abounds for both the voices and the piano. Add a bit of staging to make the performance extra special
