Excitement all the way with this substantial, upbeat arrangement. The Ohio State men added some more excitement with the addition of a drum—great in performance, tho the recording didn’t quite do it justice.

A wonderful concert opener or closer, or contest piece. Full of vitality
and rhythmic interest. Note: the recording eliminated the opening piano
intro by accident, not design. An orchestra version is available from the composer, conductor's score and parts.

Haec Dies by Brant Adams
Haec Dies is joyful singing at its best. Brant Adams chooses 6/8 meter for its inherent dance quality, and to that he adds a flowing melodic and harmonic structure. The natural syllabic stress of the Latin is easily realized thanks to the composer's careful attention to text setting, and the overall ABA form makes for ease of teaching and memorization.

Laudate pueri by Brant Adams
series: Robert J. Ward
Written for a festival performance, this is a rather extensive piece at over five minutes, but worth every second of it for both performer and listener. Mostly in 2 parts, the soprano occasionally has divisi. Often each part is melodic making this an easy and fun piece to teach.

The minor mode colors the excitement of this Hebrew folk song. The
two-sentence long text is to be sung in Hebrew. The optional clarinet and
bass parts will lend to the drama of this fine arrangement. Easy with much unison; the two-part writing is antiphonal, or melodic for both parts,
making the learning of the piece great fun for all. Conservative ranges.
